Francisco Nemenzo is considered the "Father of Philippine Coral Taxonomy”. He described 136 species of corals from the Philippines, 42 of these have been considered as valid species. He has published ~26 articles on Philippine corals from 1955-1988. Found on this site are the original descriptions of these 136 coral species with improved (high resolution) digital photographs of the corresponding specimens.
